FROM GERD TO ADENOCARCINOMA

Digest on: Gastroenterology and Minimally Invasive Surgery 2018

Welcome to the 1st DOMIS Symposium: FROM GERD TO ADENOCARCINOMA

Venue

Dear Colleagues,

There can be no argument that within the Western population, there is growing evidence to suggest an increasing prevalence of GERD-related symptoms. This rising prevalence has very tangible consequences with regard to health resource utilization. There seems to be a growing increase in patient complaints related to GERD as well.  In addition, another important observation that’s been made over the past few years is that not only symptoms, but also the downstream consequences of GERD appear to be rising. So whether you look at curves relating to Barrett’s esophagus or esophageal adenocarcinoma, the incidence of these problems appears to be increasing over time. There is very good evidence now to clearly draw an association between reflux symptoms, body mass index and esophageal adenocarcinoma.

Goal of this Symposium is to deliver innovative program, ensuring that you, the clinicians that need it, receive the most recent, relevant scientific research.

Join us in Belgrade, where over one day, 7 leading experts will review recent advances across the spectrum of GERD and its complications. Interact with colleagues, exchange information and ideas, and get updated – helping you to provide the best care for your patients!

We are looking forward to seeing you in April.

Sincerely,

Milos Bjelovic, Serbia
